Pastor C. David Stackhouse
Pastor Shackhouse grew up in the hot tobacco fields of Fayetteville, NC. As the son of a share cropper, one of the few things his parents had to pass down to him was a fervant belief in a Mighty God. Trusting in God, he answered his ministerial call on July 21, 1971; at the age of 18.
In October 1971, Pastor Stackhouse was appointed pastor of the Rossville A.M.E. Zion Church, Great Falls, South Carolina. He was the youngest pastor in South Carolina. Two years later he earned an Associate of Arts degree from Clinton Junior College, Rock Hill, South Carolina. By 1977 he was blessed to obtain a degree in Business Administration from Livingstone College, Salisbury, North Carolina. Upon graduation he matriculated at Hood Theological Seminary on a full scholarship. Pastor Stackhouse received a Bachelor of Theology Degree and Masters of Divinity. On graduation day he was humbled to receive the "Rural Pastor of the Year" award; and the "Senior Preacher fo the Year" award. He is a renowned evangelist, church builder, contemporary Biblical instructor and visionary.
Pastor Stackhouse has been an educator for 26 years in the Charlotte Mecklenburg school system, Charlotte, NC.
Pastor Shackhouse met and married the love of his life, Angela Renee Parker.
Pastor Stackhouse is an energized pastor who is excited about casting the "vision". He has no doubt that the Lord has sent him to The New Ahoskie Missionary Baptist Church to do a great work in HIS NAME!
On November 23, 2008 C. David Stackhouse became Pastor-Elect at New Ahoskie Baptist Church and on January 17, 2009 was installed as paster. His spirit of contemporary evangelism has transformed the church. By the uption of the Holy Spirit someone has joined the church almost every Sunday.
