Town Services

There are many ways that the Town of Ahoskie works to serve the community.  The following are the major departments of the town, including a description of their main functions.  If you need information on or assistance with a particular town function or service, these sections of the website should be helpful to you.

Administration:

Responsible for overall town operations.  Key staff members include the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager/Clerk/Finance Officer, Utility Billing and  Customer Service. (252) 332-5146

Police Department:

Responsible for all safety and emergency activities in the town.  Key staff members inlcude the Chief of Police, Major, Captain and Administrative Assistant. (252) 332-5012

Wastewater Treatment Plant:

Responsible for maintenance and programming in the Town's Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Key staff members include the Supervisor Wastewater Treatment Plant. (252) 332-3840

Public Works:

Responsible for the major utilities and infrastructure of the town to include streets, outfalls, wells and water/sewer lines.  Key staff members include the Director of Public Works, Assistant Public Works Director and Street Maintenance Manager. (252) 332-5165

Fire Department:

Responsible for all fire and emergency rescue activities in the town.  Key staff members inlcude the Fire Chief and Assistant FireChief. (252) 332-3322 

Recreation Department: 

The Recreation Department's highest objective is the promotion of the general welfare of our citizens through the creation of opportunities for wholesome self-expression so that the hours of leisure will make a more abundant of joyous life for everyone.
